BBS Bank Limited, in partnership with You Only Live Once (“YOLO”) M.C.C Botswana, a non-governmental organisation whose primary objective is to address challenges of sight amongst students, will carry out eye tests on pupils of Letswai Primary School in Zutshwa, Kgalagadi North, in order to donate spectacles to those that are visually challenged.
Therefore, pupils will undergo a comprehensive optometric and general eye health examination by qualified eye specialists provided by YOLO M.C.C. Botswana. Through this exercise, BBS Bank Limited also hopes to ensure that the academic performance of pupils who have eye problems is not undermined, especially those in Standard 7 as they shall be writing their final examinations at the end of the year.
The eye tests will be carried out on 11 May 2018 and the spectacles will be handed over approximately two weeks later. BBS Bank Limited has a relationship with Letswai Primary School through the Adopt-A-School Programme.
