BBS Bank Encouraged By Improving Letswai Primary School PSLE Results

BBS Bank is pleased that there has been a noticeable improvement in the Standard 7 results of Letswai Primary School located in Zutshwa, Kgalagadi North, from a pass rate of 7% in 2012 to 30% in 2013.

While 30% is below the marginal pass grade, in the context of Letswai Primary School it is a confidence boosting mark given the multiple challenges that the school faces because of its remoteness.

BBS Bank built a fully equipped library worth over P1.2 million for Letswai Primary School which was handed over to the Zutshwa community in 2013 by His Honour the Vice President of the Republic of Botswana Dr. P.H.K. Kedikilwe. BBS Bank committed that it would maintain a keen interest in the school to help it improve its performance.

Commenting on the improved performance, BBS Bank Managing Director Mr. Pius Komane Molefe said that “this strengthens our resolve to continue our relationship with Letswai Primary School. I would like to express my appreciation to the School Head Mrs. Phatsimo Keagile, her Staff, the Parents Teachers Association, pupils and the community of Zutshwa for their determination to succeed”.

In conclusion, Mr. Molefe urged more companies to identify schools they can support so that Botswana’s public education system can be strengthened.
