Botswana Building Society (“BBS”), led by its Managing Director Mr. Pius Komane Molefe, has been consulting Members across the country on the plan to commercialise BBS.
GALO MALL IN FRANCISTOWN HOSTS SUCCESSFUL BBS EDUCATIONAL FORUM
Having held two educational events at the Rail Park and Airport Junction malls in Gaborone, the third Botswana Building Society (“BBS”) educational forum at Galo Mall in Francistown from Friday 22 to Saturday 23 April 2016. This is one of the Society’s various public education initiatives which are aimed at helping Batswana and other stakeholders to have a greater appreciation of Botswana Building Society (“BBS”) products and services.
The other objective of this public education event was to enable Batswana to have a greater appreciation of the Botswana property market, the mortgage loan application process and the role of other service providers in the BBS value chain.
Speaking at the event, the BBS Sales Manager Mr. Nyaladzi Kimo said that the educational forum will enhance service delivery as Batswana will not only have clarity on products and services that are relevant to their needs, but will also understand the importance of each partner’s role in the BBS value chain.
Over the two days, a significant number of individuals visited the BBS stall and those of its partners to make inquiries.
Invited partners that took part in the event were Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC), the Office of the Registrar of Deeds, law firms (Peto & Company Attorneys and M Mmohe Attorneys) , structural engineers (Nitram Engineering Consultancy), property valuers (Roscoe Bonna Valuers (Riberry, Roscoe Bonna and Willy Kathurima), building material suppliers (Builders world and Builders Warehouse), Insurance Companies (First Sun Alliance, AON, Bona Life), Department of Lands & Surveys and a private land surveyor (Afro Geo Data Surveyors)
